Forgetting

A man wakes up in an unfamiliar apartment with apparent retrograde amnesia and needs to figure out what is happening to him and why. By interacting with the scene using only a mouse, readers progress through the story and guide the protagonist towards one of six possible endings. It is up to the reader to figure out what exactly happened based on the various branching paths presented. Forgetting is a multi-disciplinary online comic book that redefines what a web comic can be and challenges the notion of linear storytelling. Utilizing the current advancements in HTML5, runtime language and Javascript, viewers will be able to experience an immersive visual and aural narrative that gives them subtle control over the outcome.

Troy Chin is a Singaporean writer and artist most known for his ongoing autobiographical comic book series The Resident Tourist, the slice-of-life, four-volume comic strip series Loti, and the music industry satire Bricks in the Wall. He was the recipient of the National Arts Council's Young Artist Award for literary arts in 2011.
